Liz Horrocks - Assistant Secretary After many years working in the Department of Education and Childrens' Services (DECS) as a Teacher, Co-ordinator, District Co-ordinator and Statewide Manager in Central Office, Dr Liz Horrocks now works at the Universitiy of South Australia where her position is Team Leader: Learning Advice in the Learning and Teaching Unit. Liz was a committee member of the Asia Pacific Business Council for 4 years and has recently rejoined the committee for a further term. In 2007 Liz was presented with the Women of Distinction in Special Education award from the APBCW. Dr Liz Horrocks Jing has been a great supporter for APBCW and a strong advocate for working women. With a healthy mix of business skills and international management experience that spans over 20 years, Jing has worked successfully in the Asia Pacific. In 2004, she won the Highly Commended CITCSA International Business Ambassador Award for her contributions to South Australian export industries. In the same year, her leadership guided APBCW to win the 2004 Highly Commended CITCSA Business Chamber of the Year. She is an Associate Fellow Member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and a Certified Professional Manager (AIM-CPMgr). She was Past President of APBCW; Past Vice President of Hong Kong Australia Business Association-SA and the Founder of the Woman of Distinction Awards. Jing is community minded and actively participate/organise and MC numerous events and community programs. She is an endorsed Liberal candidate for the Legislative Council for the 2010 election.
